Six of the eight hospitals told Insider they had not removed or did not plan to remove ACM cladding, the flammable building material. Two other hospitals have not yet dealt with plastic foam insulation or construction defects that compromise fire safety. The total cost of replacing the cladding panels will be in the region of £6m with the works being funded by the Scottish Government
